Winter Carnival

On, Thursday, February 9, students will be rotating through a number of different outdoor activities, so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the day with an extra layer of clothing underneath and an extra pair of socks and mitts.

Valentine’s Day and 100th Day of School

On Monday,February 14, the grade ones will be celebrating both 100th day and Valentines day!  In the morning, students will be doing math activities for 100th Day. In the afternoon, we will be having a class party.

If you would like to contribute a healthy, peanut free snack, some suggestions include– cut up fruit, cut up vegetables, popcorn, fruit snacks, Bear Paws, granola bars, Goldfish, pretzels, juice boxes.  The students may bring a labeled board game or music CD.

Appreciation Board:

Our class is continuing to recognize when a fellow classmates deserves their appreciation.  Keep it up! If you catch someone doing something nice for you or a friend, make sure you fill out a certificate for them and put it on our board for all to see!

A happy birthday to Jess!  She turns 7 years old on February 5th!

Don't Forget:

Don't forget that when it is your day to be the special helper, you may also take that time to read a short story or poem to the class.  Don't forget to practice with me first!

Any questions

Parents, if you have any questions or concerns, I would be more than willing to set up a meeting (phone or in person to discuss them further.  I also check agenda's twice a day so feel free to communicate through them as well!
